Romero’s Tuscany by the Sea: A Wonderful Italian Dining Experience in Flagler Beach

On October 2, my wife and I had dinner at Romero’s Tuscany by the Sea for the first time, and what a wonderful discovery it was.
Living in the Palm Coast and Flagler Beach area gives us the opportunity to experience so many locally owned restaurants, and we enjoy sharing the special places we discover throughout Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and Flagler County.
Romero’s is one of those places.
The restaurant is small, intimate and full of character. When we arrived, it was packed—and after enjoying our dinner, we understood why.
Our First Dinner at Romero’s Tuscany by the Sea
We began the evening with adult beverages and an order of Baked Clams Oreganato.
The baked clams were prepared with seasoned breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic and oregano and were a wonderful way to start our Italian dinner.
For my entrée, I chose the Veal Panzanella with Angel Hair Pasta, along with a Caesar Salad with Anchovies.
The Panzanella preparation features fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and red onion finished with a balsamic demi-glaze. Combined with the angel hair pasta, it made for a delicious and memorable entrée.
My wife ordered the Veal Gorgonzola with Fettuccini and a Caesar salad.
The Veal Gorgonzola features pan-seared veal and mushrooms with a rich Gorgonzola cream sauce. If you enjoy Gorgonzola and a creamy Italian pasta dish, this is certainly one to consider.
Both meals were excellent.
Save Room for Italian Cheesecake
No wonderful Italian dinner would be complete without dessert.
We decided to share Romero’s Italian Cheesecake, a ricotta-style cheesecake that was the perfect way to finish our evening.
From the baked clams at the beginning of our meal to that final bite of Italian cheesecake, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire dining experience.
Outstanding Service from Alwyn
Great food is certainly important, but exceptional service can make a restaurant experience even more memorable.
Our waitress, Alwyn, was wonderful.
She was incredibly accommodating, attentive and friendly throughout our dinner. Even though the restaurant was packed, we never felt overlooked or rushed.
She took excellent care of us and helped make our first visit to Romero’s a special one.

One thing we learned from our first visit is that reservations are highly recommended at Romero’s Tuscany by the Sea.
This is a relatively small and intimate restaurant, and it was completely packed when we visited.
